Welcome!Sonny's Farm is a small, diversified operation in Leelanau County, Michigan. The 15 acre farm is situated along M-22 between Little Traverse Lake and Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore. Although we specialize in pastured chicken and turkey, we are a diversified system that integrates pigs, family dairy cow, a flock of laying hens, and seasonal vegetables/flowers for a small roadside stand.
The farm's mission is to provide nutrient dense, high quality food by adhering to ecological farming principles. We believe all animals should be treated with respect by allowing them to express their natural instincts in a healthy environment. For us, a strong commitment to animal welfare and land stewardship are integral in creating the best food. The community that surrounds the farm is also what sustains it. We strive for an open and honest dialogue with our customers about our farming practices. This transparency allows the community to trust us in keeping the air, water, and soil clean, and to treat our animals with the respect they deserve. |
